More About Me
I was born in Torrance California. I lived in the L.A. area until I was about 5 years old. My Father was a Los Angeles County Sheriff at the time and got transferred to Palmdale California. We lived just outside Palmdale in Leona Valley California until the summer of 1969 when we packed up the family and moved to Boise Idaho to get away from it all. I Graduated from Borah High School in 1975. While in Boise I started playing guitar and formed a rock band called CRYSTAL SHIP. Crystal Ship consisted of Myself (Guitar), Scott Dixon (Bass), Lonnie Dodd (Drums)and Greg Hill (Guitar). Crystal Ship eventually broke up and a new band was formed with Scott Dixon called ECLIPSE.
Adding Jim Ennis (Drums) and Kurt Hoover (Guitar). Eclipse became good enough to win second place to War Eagle in a regional Battle of the Bands. Eventually Scott Dixon quit the band and was replaced by Blair Crook. Eclipse fizzled out and the band PASSAGE was then formed combining two members from War Eagle (Jon Faulkner-Guitar and Rocky Paulson-Drums) and two members from Eclipse (DeLane Robinson-Guitar and Blair Crook Bass).
There was one more band member change to form the final Passage group. Rocky Paulson was replaced by Andy Gaither and Blair Crook was replaced by Bill Kassis. Passage did really well with that line-up, playing locally for a couple of years, touring for 8 years, and recording two albums on their own NTP record label. The band had great success playing “A” rooms across the western half of the United States and Canada. During their career Passage performed as the “opening act”, warming up concerts for for groups such as U2, The Romantics, Steppenwolf, Head East, Greg Allman Band, The Grass Roots, Papa John Creach (from Jefferson Airplane), Black Oak Arkansas, The Ventures, Dave Mason, Krokus and Rail.
The band broke up in 1985 and I started a Disc Jockey company that eventually became ABC MUSIC, VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY. (To see website click here) This company includes the services, Disc Jockey Entertainment, Video Production, and Photography services. I had put aside writing music for a few years to get the company up and running. Music was in my blood and started to boil again. In my free time I started to write and record again. I found some people who could play and sing much better than I could ever hope to. I took on the role of song writer and producer. I am now married with 4 beautiful children, loving life and still having fun doing something I love to do.
All my life I have been interested in art music and design, making something beautiful with my own two hands. At the age of 7 years old I won a second place ribbon in a local art contest. All throughout Jr. High and High School I took classes in art, design, drawing, pottery and painting and did very well with those mediums. I could never afford camera equipment when I was younger so I didn’t get involved in the photography aspect until after starting ABC Music, Video and Photography. “I found my calling”. I love photography, I love taking pictures of brides and their families in a photojournalistic and artistic style, and I love working with brides on their wedding day. This is where I am and this is where I want to be. Please allow me help preserve your day.
